A service-learning project in two curriculums

The team leaders of the "Library Murals" project pose for a picture at the podium where a few minutes before they spoke to our entire student body. After their engaging and cleaver announcement of the voting process for the theme of the murals and their enthusiastic speech to recruit volunteers, students voted on suggested themes or gave extra possibilities. Results were tabulated by our head librarian, Dr. Sue Jenkins. Great job, ladies!

Mrs. Seitter, art teacher and Dr. Sue Jenkins, our head librarian, are the advisors and site supervisors of this project.

The student leaders asked for collaborations from artist and non-artists because the project is large scope and will take several years to complete.
