MAX PRESENTATION

 

a.Let's Have Fun, February 14: Thank you to Max for an informative presentation about his experience as JET and during the devastating earthquake and Tsunami while working as an intern in Tokyo.  See picture below.  Carmen requested for Max to send information he would like to be placed in the smilebox about his presentation. Carmen purchased candies and Japanese ice tea for 10 people courtesy of Casady Service-Learning.  8 people participated.  We had an OU student and her mother.  They learned about this workshop at meetup.com.

Japan in a Suitcase: Japanese Dancing by Mari Leslie

22 people participated.  We learned an adult and a kids Bon Odori Dance from Mari Leslie, Vice-President of the Japan America Society of Oklahoma and professional classical dancer.  In between dances, participants enjoyed Japanese snacks and green tea.  The workshop was sponsored by a grant from the Japan Foundation, Center for Global Partnership and IOCHEM.
